Obligatory who is next to commit thread?

I'm interested to see how instate recruiting goes this year. UT didn't seem to bother pushing for a lot of TN guys other top programs came after and took commitments from. Does that HS coach ignore it and allow UT to step to the front or does he remember to point out to his players the Vols didn't see the 2016 kids as worth their time?

Me either. It appears a number of our top prospects are waiting until NSD. Therefore I believe if we take a commitment it probably means we struck out on somebody higher on our wish list. jmo

I agree.

Thompson commits, No Brown.

Bailey or another DE commits, No Simmons.

WR? I think they're to a point they would take anyone who can play in the slot.

Not a lot of build up to NSD I don't think.

we get Warrior. and the fallbacks. Next.

My number 1 hope is Warrior. We need safety options badly. And I hope getting him helps get Gibbs in '17.

I have heard the number is 22. With North departing, I would assume that number is now 23.

So, in no particular order below Warrior, I still hope for Brown, Callaway, Dickerson, & Hardman. A slot receiver would be nice also. Read on 247 that Brown is versatile enough to play DE. makes him even more attractive. Hardman is an option at DB and WR, and having another player like Jennings who has multiple talents is a huge plus. I keep reading about Dickerson's mean streak. Hope it is true if we can pull him in. and I really like Callaway's stride in the highlights I have seen. And with Pearson gone, we need another guy with dreads to restore that quota.

North counts against the 85 scholarship limit, not the 25 initial counters. We already have 3-4 forward-counted from last year, so our maximum take is 21-22.
