It’s been my experience that cheap shots like that expresses a couple of things; Clifton was beating him the plays prior to that and Sapp is not man enough to hang in a foxhole with his mates.

I am pretty sure it was Sapp. So it happen on he TV and they reran it 2=3 times. Sapp should have been suspended. Not a hit that would kill, but could have been a career ender.

Sapp would have been suspended several games for that hit today. That hit was controversial even at the time (20 years ago) - there'd be a major furor over it today.
