The hit he laid on Knowshon Moreno would probably have him suspended for 5 games in today's football 😄
For real. He ear holed dude with almost the crown of his helmet. I bet that ish took a year off Knowshons life.

Loved EB. One of my all time favorites. I still have that little paper mask of his face with the eye holes cut out they made for the SC game.

I own two jerseys. 14 & 5.

Should tell you something. Was hoping to bump into HH last weekend. If I did, dark mode wouldve been retired to the wall for my son.
Almost certain I attended that game at FL with my VFL wife Shari!

It hurt me just watching it...

Congrats and well deserved.

Probably the best football player I have seen with exception to Peyton and AL. I have witnessed some great ones come through Knoxville

No other player at TN has I ever seen that exemplified the term "football player" better than Eric Berry. He was Al Wilson and Reggie White physical and intense and he was Peyton Manning and Carl Pickens skilled with the football. Would have seriously made a push for the GOAT at the safety position in the NFL, were it not for his debilitating health condition. He is on the all-time Vols Rushmore with Atkins, White, & Manning IMO.

Eric is the best player I’ve ever seen wear the orange. I was born in 93, too young to see Peyton and co or Reggie white obviously.

He was the Perfect Football Player, and from what I've "heard", an even better Person. VFL...G.O.A.T.ed

Someone tell Eric Berry to get married and start popping out future ballers. We need his DNA back in the secondary asap!

Never saw another player move like him. It was like he glided on the field. But he was laying the wood too. Best Safety I ever saw at the college level.

I am fully prepared to weep when I see him on the field. I have so much respect for Eric Berry.

I was a TA for freshmen biology his freshman year. It was the spring so I guess biology 102. James Berry Jr was on my class roster so I was super pumped. I looked in the system and saw there was only one James Berry. He clearly didn’t walk in before class but I called his name like 10 times hoping he would come in. He switched sessions :(

I think his biggest accomplishment is overcoming cancer.

Just an extraordinary human. Glad to have him back around the program. I hate his football career was cut short. He was one of a kind.
