Running quarterbacks usually don't learn to read defenses in college nor do they "air the ball out "ALOT. The adjustment is too much for them.

(1) Have to learn to not get ball from the shotgun, each and every play.

(2) Have to learn to read defenses

(3) Have to learn to not soley depend on athletic ability.

(4) Have to learn to go through their progressions when making a pass.

Vince Young was in Tennessee for five years and they played a 3 - 4 defense at least three times per season. In season 5, Pittsburgh still gave him fits with their defense.

Since when is Russel a dual threat QB? He rushed for a total of 80 yards in 3 years at LSU. Who don't the Steelers give fits to?
