Dont worry gator fans..he can still be a great leader without seeing the field. but i guess that would make him more of a cheerleader.

I cannot get over the fact that so many people are jealous of Him. So funny.

because you have man love for him doesnt mean everybody else should. If you thought he was going to be a pro bowl QB in the NFL then you dont know football.

Tebow won't be cut or traded this year. Both Kyle Orton and Brady Quinn are in the final years of their contracts, which would leave only Tebow on the team should neither of them be re-signed. I think it will depend on how well the Broncos do this year if Tebow will be with the team next year. If they do well with Orton, he will probably be re-signed, meaning Tebow will not start next year either. If the team doesn't do well, he won't be re-signed and the team may take their chances with Tebow. However, if they do bad enough, the Broncos will probably take a more NFL ready QB in the draft.

As a Broncos fan, I don't have a "Teboner" for the guy like most fans do, but I believe it would be a shame and a waste if the Broncos get rid of him without giving him a chance to play. He isn't ready now to be a starter, but after a year experience as a backup he may be able to get coaching that will make him better. I'm not ready to label him a bust, because I know his potential and what he can bring to the table for an organization. He will probably never stand strong in the pocket and make perfect throws like Manning or Brady, but you don't have to fit that mold to be a good quarterback.

remember all those florida fans who said he'd be a good nfl qb because he had "heart", as if every pro qb failure just didn't care or didn't try hard enough?

The jury is still out. He's 16 games into his pro career, and when he's played, he's played well. I understand the blind hatred because he beat us 4 times, but the haters are prematurely jumping to conclusions.

Who are the haters? John Fox? Fact is Tebow is sitting at 3rd on the depth chart. They must have not been as impressed with Tebow last year as you obviously were.

This pretty much sums it up.

Colt McCoy played much better than him with basically the same amout of talent around him.

Where are y'all getting that Tebow is 3rd on the depth chart? Fox just said the 2nd spot has not been determined yet.

Huh? McCoy got a lot more snaps, but Tebow was much better per snap:

Tebow: 50% comp, 6.1 TD%, 3.7 INT%, 8.0 YPA, 6.8 SK%, 82.1 passer rating
McCoy: 60% comp, 2.7 TD%, 4.1 INT%, 7.1 YPA, 9.4 SK%, 74.5 passer rating

Tebow will get a fair shake. They'd be morons to get rid of him considering he's the #1 pick and played well in the games he's appeared in. Nobody gets rid of a #1 pick QB after 1 year.

Yea you can when the coach that drafted him is not there anymore. Josh McDaniels was an absolute idiot for drafting Tebow so high.

I'm gonna give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you meant 1st round pick. You know he wasn't the #1 pick, right?

You also forget he beat two of the best teams in football last year, when that team was nothing.

He also was hurt at the end of the year, AND played two of the best teams in the NFL when they were fighting for a playoff spot/home positioning in the last two games, where he threw six INT's.

Take his first six starts:

66%, 203 ypg, 5-3 TD/INT ratio, 93 QB rating. Against FOUR playoff teams.

Tebow's first three starts:

49%, 217 ypg, 4-3 TD/INT ratio, 77.8 QB rating. Against ZERO playoff teams.

You cite Tebow's QB rating as 82.1. Well, in three starts, it was 77.8. He made a pass that was a TD in a game earlier in the season that inflates it.

I'll take McCoy. Easy.

You really had to dissect those stats to get McCoy on top, including removing "inflated" TD's.

That's fine, all I'm saying is McCoy didn't have Orton playing in front of him so it's not really a fair comparison. You can't really say a lot about a guy until you've seen 20 starts, or so, IMO.

I agree. However, there's a reason the Browns think McCoy will break out and Tebow is battling Brady Quinn.
