Kris Kringle, North Pole, Alaska

******* Rating from all major recruiting services. Exactly the type of character player that Coach Dooley is after; Tremendous work ethic, stamina and strength. Although Dooley was unable to conduct an in-home visit, Kris explains that he loves the Volunteer coaching staff. “Most of the other SEC coaches are on the naughty list” explained Kris. Kris said he has always dreamed of becoming an SEC player, and just needed to find the right mix of coaching and facilities.

“I look forward to wearing the orange, and more importantly solidifying my status as a member of the Vol family” Kris chimed with a gleam in his eye. “HO HO HO get ready set go is my motto”

“Although I can’t speak concerning specific recruits, we look forward to a very merry early entry group” Dooley stated. “We’re gonna shake it up like a bowl full of jelly”.

Stats:
• Ht: 6’1”
• Wt: 327
• 40: 4.9 Seconds (Pulling a Sled)
• Bench Max: 685 (Could do more – Bar bends)
• Shuttle: 4.6
• Vertical: Beyond Measure
• Class: 0000

On the Hoof: Massive shoulders and chest with good powerbase. He is built similar to an Abrams tank but more muscular. Extremely light on his feet for his size.

Needs Improvement: Sometimes on short-yardage running plays Kris becomes more of a Greco-Roman wrestler and uses all upper-body strength to lift opponents into his lap. When he pass blocks, he has a tendency to turn to the side while sliding his feet, almost as if he is reaching into a bag or something. Both of these are technique issues that can be corrected.

Most Impressive: He is a true run mauler that doesn't mind getting nasty in order to intimidate and dominate his opponent. His hand placement is tremendous, enabling him to control the defender. Kris is also nimble enough on his feet to get downfield in the blink of an eye and make blocks on smaller defensive players. His body type and athleticism will allow him to play any of the five line positions at the next level.

Conclusion: Most offensive linemen redshirt. Kris wears a red shirt under his jersey to remind himself that he starts behind no one. If he stays focused and uses his supernatural ability on the gridiron he will surely see early playing time. Don't be surprised if he starts off as a guard and eventually cross trains into the tackle and center positions.

Well played. Solid.

With his abilities however I think we should try and get him the ball, with frequency!

I thought he was faster than that. How does he get all those presents delivered in one night if he is that slow?

He uses the word Ho a lot.

But the North Pole ain't in Alaska. Not unless there's been a massive tectonic plate shift since the last time I looked.

Report from Alaska:

We Alaskans have watched this guy play since his first peewee game. He has always been a big kid with elusive moves. Sometimes he is so fast you can't see his moves. Alhough normally a loner he is a team player when it comes to football.
He has always had a lot on his plate and a lot is expected from him. He actually employs a lot of folks up here. It is a business he started in his folks quonset hut quite a few years ago. He hasn't played football in a few years, but he has always been so talented we are sure he will be an Heisman Trophy winner his first year.

It is quite a dream to have our guy playing for UT. It is going to be a long cold commute. But if anyone can do it he can. He has the fastest sled up here. The word is that he looks forward to his new Tennessee orange uniform.

Go Santa

I hate misleading threads like this. I actually thought we got a new commitment, now I'm just pissed.
