Actually, sure you can. Seriously, read your argument again. It is illogical.

then you agree that the massive losses after Nov. 4th were because Obama was elected and the market feared his left wing, neo-socialist economic ideas?

conversation i had about 30 times right after nov 4th:

"Obama and his rhetoric scare the crap out me! I just can't be in this market!"

conversation i've had about 10 times the last week:

"maybe he's not going to be that left wing. i like some of his choices."

I'm fairly optimistic that Obama sees reality and will govern in a center-right fashion. I'm not as optimistic about how he will deal with all the crap Pelosi and Reid will throw at him.

You gotta love Right-Wing crybabies

Come on. If this were a Repubican it would be all over The Daily Show and Colbert.

It doesn't mean anything about Obama but it is freaky that he made a fake "Presidential Seal" while running for office and now has some made up seal for Office of the President Elect.

I guess it's true you can't make fun of Obama without being criticized for it.

Retard from Texas but you can't bear any joking criticism about Obama - must be more of that liberal openmindedness and tolerance :)

equal time for all the pissing and moaning you lefties have done since 2000.
No that was for the 8 years preceeding you know when the republicans spent 70+ million dollars of our tax money (something I'm sure none of you all bitched about) investigating Clinton and what did you get for it, a more popular Clinton than ever.Hell another election like the last 2 and the gop will go the way of the Whig party.:)

Your ability to revise your vision of history is astounding. The GOP decision to appoint a special investigator to look into the Clintons' affiliation and role within the Whitewater Development Corporation was the correct decision.

The fact that Kenneth Starr was a hack, has little to do with the GOP held Congress' initial decision to investigate. However, whichever direction the investigation took on, and the merits of taking on such direction, are still irrelevant when compared to the fact that Clinton then lied under oath to the special investigator.

you do understand that a sitting President can close a special prosecutor's investigation at any time, don't you? Clinton could have shut down Starr at ANY time.

70 million is chump change compared to the world wide crisis your democrats created when they forced banks to make loans to unqualified applicants.

I don't know. And actually my whole point was that it is not logical to assume that the market went down when he won, nor, if you assumed that, it follows that it went up when he appointed who he did. The experts seem to think the market did go up in part due to the stability he is signalling. But even if so, that does not necessarily mean it went down because he won.

They are independent events, like the spin of a roulette wheel.

Disagree - it is equally likely that the uncertainty surrounding his reign drove the market down just as you assert the more recent certainty calmed the market. If the market reacted to his appointments, why wouldn't it react to uncertainty about his appointments?

Actually, Mr. Obama will not become President-elect until Dec. 15th, when the Electoral College meets.

Yeah, sucks that he is out there holding three press conferences in three days announcing bipartisan picks to help deal with the economic crisis, appointing people universally heralded as competent to key financial posts, and doing it all in such a way as to calm the markets and show stability and smart policy coming.

Stupid attention whore!

it sure seems to be working right now law he's a joke, as his presidency will be. but i'm sure you lawyers will love him, as he'll allow his fellow thugs to sue anyone any time. i bet you can't wait to see the judges he'll be nominating.

you can't explain history to libs. history is lib's kriptonite. that's why they've been working to keep our public school kids stupid, because if they actually taught history, libs would never get elected because they've been on the wrong side of history since the 60's.

libs should all be tried for treason.

You need to crawl into a hole and never come out. Please. And you do know there are many who might be considered "liberals" who provided the very freedom for which even idiots like you can live by.
