I'm curious, are the helmet/uniform changes we saw with UF and LSU the past 2 weeks, permanent changes?

If so, I think the LSU one is for the better, and the UF one is great for us, as it makes them look like some Div1 AA team, nobody's ever heard of. :)

I always thought the Gator's helmet (scribbled letters on the side of the helmet) looked gay, but they just took gay to a whole new level. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Keep those uni's gators....they look mar-vel-ous (for our recruiting) :dance2:

I haven't seen LSU's but yeah, Florida's looked like they were from Tuckyho State University.

Those were the new Nike Pro Combat Uniforms... they wore them for the first time the week before... and if their contract is the same as ours at FSU they have the discretion to wear them anytime they want from then on. The Uniforms, technologically, are very very nice. They are like 40% lighter... do NOT retain moisture... lighter padding if memory serves... all good things... except some look like crap. I loved FSU's combats... other than the unershirt sleeves which looked more like the Atlanta Falcons wing instead of a feather like it is supposed to be.

I think it is great news that we are in a position that we worry about losing assistants. In the past is really was no big deal unless it was Cutcliffe. This shows us that we are an up and coming program. I really like Gran, but keeping Monte and Ed is our top priority (that is when the money will laid out in my opinion). Just the thought of us taking Alabama to the last play in at their place is astonishing with the talent they have verses our talent. It is great news to be a Vol and that something we have not felt for a long time. We are most likely playing a top 12 BCS team in a bowl (great news) and if we can keep it close that will help recruiting tremendously. We will finish in the top 10 recruiting for 2nd consecutive year. Hold up your head fellows, the Vols are on a rise.
