Official 2006 Hatvol96 Draft Analysis

Pretty much. Although in the NCAA Championship game it was UCLA's failure to execute the gameplan that cost them the win, not the 20 to 25 point difference on the scoreboard.

And Portland makes another trade. For future 2nd rounders and some dude, so we can get more inexperienced players. Sweet.

Do the Blazers realize this isn't a drunken fantasy league draft?
You know those idiots who claim they could GM any team? Well in my team's case, that claim might not be too far off-base.

The Lakers go with an African project. He can work out with Andrew Bynum. They should be ready for the '10-'11 season.

The Blazers will have every pick in the second round in a few years. Diaz, another player Pat Riley really liked.

Seriously... The mood of Blazers here in Portland is confused, angry, upset, just generally not knowing what's going on. It's not that we're making bad picks (Freeland was a pretty big stretch) but that the franchise stille doesn't even have so much as a beginning to a plan to make the playoffs within the next 3 seasons. It's terrible. Right now, everybody involved with the organization needs to go and the entir thing just needs to start again. Back to expansion level.

Hoops is going global. Africa, Eastern Europe, Latin America, Israel, Greece, Spain. A regular Benetton commercial.

Or a bunch of guys whose names are hard to pronounce. Not that we'll have to worry about it, most of them will end up playing back in their country or D-League anyhow.

I wish Harry Caray was alive to take a shot at some of these names.
