Me too! Hopefully this summer will springboard into a strong fall & spring. Same for these other guys that are having nice summers. All hands on deck for 2019!

All the pop in the world isn’t going to help Daniels or Russell. CTV needs the 2016 players for balance and that’s only until he orientates his new guys. Why parents from the 2017 class can’t see the writing on the wall is beyond me!

And agree, Ammons Charleston and Soularie in the outfield.

Answer your question by asking a question…

Why remove Simcox and Thomas? It’s no secret a new head coach wants (needs) to win with his guys, his staff, and his philosophy. Otherwise, why remove the old head coach.

Writing on the wall simply means, VTC is no different than any other new hire. Recruit large numbers to change the landscape. And remember, there is no true loyalty between a new coaching staff and prior recruited players (aka DS recruits); what’s the bond---there isn’t one.

I am shocked there are so many players that are going to return without scholarship money and without a spot guaranteed for next spring. Ctv truly has done a great job of that regardless of how hardcore cutthroat next Christmas is going going to be for a bunch of players.

I completely agree with the foundation of your thought process...loyalty can be tricky sometimes.

But the landscape will change yearly and the loyalty will be to the players that help CTV and staff win games. This is a business. Why would you sacrifice a kid that produces on the field in the spirit of changing the landscape just because they were recruited by the previous staff? IMO, that would be counter productive.

At the end of the day, I think this staff just wants play makers regardless of who recruited them.

If your not in the mix or playing you have to decide do I stay for the sake of being at Tenn or leave and try to play.

There are so make not SEC types on the roster that never should have been here. I am excited to see the new team.

Justin Ammons signed and activated with the Brewster Whitecaps on the 24th.

EDIT: Jut noticed where Ammo was activated by Harwich Mariners on 6/11 and released 6/17. Not sure what shenanigans were going on there.......maybe someone can inform the less informed.

Injury was to his right wrist. Not very serious at all. Prob good to shut his arm down anyway. He was on Friday on WNML with Wilkerson and Hyannis. It’s available on podcast on there website and App
