I figure I might as well get this one started since the way Georgia played against a HORRIBLE Ole Miss team we should be close to the 50 point plateau again.

I see us getting close to 50 on them, maybe not quite there but it will be close since everyone that they have played have pretty much stunk it up.

I say with an ave. field position of the 36 yard line and Georgia doing what we did last year with the rotating Qb's it will be a thumping of the tune of 48-24. Close to 50 but we could get that with a field goal :dance2:

Ah...

No.

Ah come on man, you know we will destroy them. They played horrible against Beat Schaeffer and Old Miss. IMO they didn't look much better than a Memphis team Old Miss barely beat earlier in the year. Georgia will take a couple of years just like we did to develop then they will be just as dangerous as ever. This year though I see blow out with the confidence we have and the way we are playing.

I love your optimism but dont get to cocky. UT is always better as an underdog and Georiga is still Georgia. Mark Richt like Spurrier owns Fulmer.

But as long as our D stays solid and Ainge and the boys keep the foot on the pedal, we should win.

But anything can happen. Plus this is the first real road game for us.

Very true....this is the first time we have left Tennessee. But did you see how BAD and I mean bad Georgia played last night?? They barely beat Colorado, and they haven't won a game this year yet, and Georgia should have lost to them. Georgia is not a Top 10 team and we will dominate them on both sides of the ball....I may eat my words but we will win 48-24.

I dont see GA putting 24 on us. Unless it is ugly late and we put in reserves. I say 30-10, but i am so skeptical to say that. I know this team is good but we still havent won an SEC game.

True we haven't, but we lost a HEARTBREAKER, and you were as pissed as I was about it, to a VERY GOOD Florida Team who has an EXTREMELY good D. I measure us to them and to play them that close and I don't think Georgia is going to hang with us very long. We just have too many weapons and Georgia is seaching for an indentity just like we were last year. We will thump them and I will be cheering and hollering and jumping around all game long because Meachem is going to CRUSH their DB's!!

It will be close regardless who wins. Georgia will play better than the past few weeks.

Just my opinion.

I think that we will beat UGA, but I do not think we are going to kill them nor score 50 pts. I guessing a score around 31-17 or so.

Don't forget to factor in a certain degree of revenge factor for the spoiler role we played down there in '04...courtesy of one Erik Ainge as a true freshman, to beat all. Furthermore, you know the UGA coaches are using all the "overrated" talk as a motivating tool, and the dawgs will be out to prove they can beat real teams too. Overconfidence can hurt real bad if the game goes south for us, but...
That said...Vols Win 38-20!!

This game will be a fight to the end. I think we will win but Georgia will be ready. I say the score will be something like 27 21 or 24 20.

God I dont want to loose to Georgia again.

In his press conference yesterday, Richt said that Joe T. will most likely be the starter and he will try to get Stafford involved at some point. The fact that Richt is looking to the guy who knows the playbook over the "talent" confirms what I suspected, the Dawgs will look to play conservative, mistake-free offense while looking for their defense and special teams to help them win the field position battle. Like the UF game, I expect this one to be relatively close with each team having a chance to take it in the 4th quarter. Also like the UF game, my guess is that this one will come down to depth and conditioning in the offensive lines. The team that can pressure the QB and stop the run in the 4th quarter is probably going to be the team that wins.

i can agree with this...but i do think the fact that we have big play capability may be able to set us apart....UGA hasn't exactly played any offensive juggernauts....especially with receivers like we have. If we can get a few big plays that set up or result in a couple of scores for us, it puts the pressure on their offense to match it...which takes them out of the conservatvie, take care of the ball type offense they may want to run.

If we get in to a feild position, ball control game with them, i don't like our chances...our strength is stretching the feild...let's hope we do that.

the thing we absolutely can't do in this game is turn the ball over...2nd on that list is we can't be put in obvious passing situations giving that D Line a chance to pin it's ears back.

I'm hoping to see a lot of 2nd and 3rd and short (4 yds or less) plays this game...if we do that, it will keep their D on their heels.

this is not a gimmie...i just don't see UGA playing as bad as they have the previous two weeks...it's not in the nature of Mark Richt's teams in the past, so i don't know why it should continue any longer than it has already.

I completely agree that Meach and Swain could break free, or maybe the 3rd WR, could bust open some big gainers and give UT a nice early lead. IF UT is up by 10 or more at the half what do you suspect the Vols will do on offense in the third quarter? Coker/Foster up the middle sound familiar? IMO the Vols will have to play with the offense wide open for four quarters if they are going to take this one. There cannot be a circling of the wagons to protect a two-three score lead in the second half.

Agree 100%. This is what happened vs Gators.

This will be a low scoring dogfight , most likely decided in the final 3-4 minutes of the game.

That and not allow them to run kicks back for touchdowns. That's what I worry about.

Low scoring...no way. They got ran over by the colorado running game. It wasnt like the buffaloes have a balanced attack either. Also Ole Miss had pretty good success running the football too. BTW Ole Miss got whipped by Kentucky. Though i think Georgia will step up, I think we take the game.

That pretty much sums it up for me.Provided they have no huge punt returns, long kick-off runs, and one more thing UGA leads the nation in scoring defense, we MUST protect the ball and not give the ball/game away!

Like fumbling on the goal line and them running it back for a touchdown right before halftime? Yes, I agree.
