That'd be a BCS bowl and would mean we were on the outs, careful what you wish for....

What was I thinking? :BANGHEAD2: I clearly wasn't...

Ok, I'd like to see UGA and ND play in the San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl.

I completely agree that Meach and Swain could break free, or maybe the 3rd WR, could bust open some big gainers and give UT a nice early lead. IF UT is up by 10 or more at the half what do you suspect the Vols will do on offense in the third quarter? Coker/Foster up the middle sound familiar? IMO the Vols will have to play with the offense wide open for four quarters if they are going to take this one. There cannot be a circling of the wagons to protect a two-three score lead in the second half.

I couldn't agree with you more. It was obvious we had FLA against the ropes, but instead of delivering a knockout punch, we let them pick themselves up and recover. That's why we lost the game. GA better come out shooting, because if they start slow like they did against Colorado and Ole Miss, they'll very quickly find out that they're playing a real team. I think Ainge, Meachem, Swain, and Smith are going to have their way with the GA defense. Coker, Foster, and Hardesty make up a good backfield, also.

In his press conference yesterday, Richt said that Joe T. will most likely be the starter and he will try to get Stafford involved at some point. The fact that Richt is looking to the guy who knows the playbook over the "talent" confirms what I suspected, the Dawgs will look to play conservative, mistake-free offense while looking for their defense and special teams to help them win the field position battle. Like the UF game, I expect this one to be relatively close with each team having a chance to take it in the 4th quarter. Also like the UF game, my guess is that this one will come down to depth and conditioning in the offensive lines. The team that can pressure the QB and stop the run in the 4th quarter is probably going to be the team that wins.
Right now I just hope the Vols have a shot by the 4th. One more half of football to go. I have a feeling that UGA's receivers are not going to continue making these catches. UT will get a turnover in the second half. :3cheers:

I like your positive attitude VH, have you been drinking? :)

Seriously though, Tennessee needs something to switch this momentum around. Scoring before halftime probably took a little away.

I've had about 4 bottled waters since the second half of the UF-LSU game. IMO the second TD at least gives UT's players a reason to keep fighting even if UGA comes out and scores off the opening drive of the second half.

I agree, that score before halftime was big. If our defense can stop them on this first drive, we might just get the momentum back. I hope that's the case..:crossfingers:

Very true....this is the first time we have left Tennessee. But did you see how BAD and I mean bad Georgia played last night?? They barely beat Colorado, and they haven't won a game this year yet, and Georgia should have lost to them. Georgia is not a Top 10 team and we will dominate them on both sides of the ball....I may eat my words but we will win 48-24.

Good call g8terh8ter_eric
