Damn great win vols needed it after the abomination of the the last two games.

Valiant vols go from hopeful, the abyss, and to greatness with a topnotch comeback.

It was the tide that choked dallas cowboys style today.

Jesus Christ rose from the dead on Easter, and this Sunday vols rose from the abyss with a amazing comeback over the freakin crimson tide.

The crimson tide shall forever remember how they were close but no cigar not able to sweep.

Adversity reveals chAracter, vols after two freakin frustrating losses could have decided to just quit or play with a lack of effort since they lost the series, plus going through the familiar big innings or a flood but they didn't.

They never stopped fighting, finished a great comeback, hung together, and drove through out of deep mud.
Like a rock that's what they were today.
Vols like Captain America or the famous Siberian husky Balto showed a indomitable spirit.

That's always been a common denominator about Serrano's teams. They've always been gritty and aggressive.

So it's not pretty but it gets the job done?

Vols hit the ball in all the right places, sliding they continue to kickass, bunting damn hard to defend against tide panicked and overthrew it, and the winning run was all to easy didn't require any sliding.

Yes sir. Dave knows the psychology of baseball extremely well. Winning doesn't need to be pretty. Look at the Oakland A's, they know how to fight like us. Our team reminds me of them.

This was a tough win today but considering how easy the final runs were the last two I think it still qualifies as a pretty finish after turbulent waters.
I imagine the crimson tides reaction was throwing their hats maybe some of them,
The blown lead couldn't get the job done does seem like dejavu of Red Sox epic final game loss to the orioles Which also involved ball being hit in all the right places including the game winning hit.
The crimson tide knew what they wanted to avoid but couldn't as the vols were batting on fire mode mostly, and ball kept dropping where they couldn't get outs.


Lucky for us college baseball doesn't use the garbage of the abomination BcS. :thumbsup:
Vols are a cardiac team but they do have their days of all to easy wins.


I think my post game quotes of the crimson tide manager is freakin funny.

It's hilarious indeed. We will continue working on what you mentioned. I think were shaking a lot of inexperience off. I saw the red sox game, and it is like De ja vu. We need to build on this game.

As in prevent big innings, and minimize errors?

Confidence should be high came back multiple times including very late. Yep lets continue to win building momentum and shock the college baseball world.
Lsu and gamecocks aren't the only teams that can produce great wins that are harrowing defeats.


Vols got more major hits, less errors one compared to tides three if I recall right when you do that and take advantage of major opportunities you are likely to be a successful winning team assuming your defense can defend and keep it manageable.


If this looks familiar it's because it was inspired by colts Jim mora, first bucs head coach, herm Edwards, etc.

Yes exactly that. We can't make mistakes in our league, but its more important to get the runners in scoring position home. We converted opportunities better in this series, but we need to build on today to a better tomorrow.
