Official Auburn at Tennessee Game 1 Thread - 7 PM - SECN/ESPN3

Awful call in the UF/VU game...Coleman slides head first into 2B, goes all the way across the bag, both feet come off and UF tags him out...the inning should be over, instead runners at 2 and 3 for VU...doesn't end up mattering, but a horrible call.

Was watching this game earlier, but I had to run back by work about the time Vandy went up 4-2. Looks like a good game.

I guess the umps view technology, i.e. the ability to review a play, the same way the UTAD does. :)

Knoxville born Jr. Reed Hayes takes the mound in the 8th for VU with 1 out and runners on the corners for UF...K's JJ Schwartz...gets a lucky ricochet on a WP and gets out of the inning when Delay tags the runner at home.

B8, 6-5 VU

Helluva of 9th inning for the Gators.

Yep...UF up 10-6...I think they found their offense...they've stranded 13 I think and JJ has K'd 5 times yet...they are three outs away form taking game 1 from VU at their place...Me and Cafego are enjoying this! :p

17 hits for FL, I think the bats are back. If Cafego is happy, I am happy.

listened to the sec network last night......fairly nauseating to keep hearing about CS and what he did out west.....

Yep. Sad to be already checking scores hoping Bama and Georgia lose.

I get your point. It is disheartening. Frankly though, why check the other team's scores if you can't win a home series at least a couple times in a season. What was really sad last night is to hear the Auburn starting pitcher say after the game that this was by far his worst outing. UT still lost at home. I did feel bad for our staring pitcher. I think he pitched well enough to win last night. but no run support. Something big has to change with this program. It's rather obvious that we are not competitive in this conference with our players, but I'm not sure how that get's fixed frankly. Not sure a new coach will fix it and that's really troubling if true because it likely means this program's problems are much larger. I'm just not sure UT cares about men's baseball to make the investment needed, and that's too bad.
