Official Auburn vs. Florida thread

You have reason to be optimistic, but I suspect there is going to be a steady diet of the ground game to slow down that pass rush until Florida figures out how to stop it. This one has a long way to go.

with the runs Auburn has been ripping off, I wouldn't pass it unless 3rd and long. Their pass protection is horrible.

I agree. But the only drive they really had was the first one and that was dependent on the quick outs to the sidelines, whuich were cleared out by Florida playing the corners 5-7 yards off the receivers. Florida adjusted, as I thought they would, by playing tighter and freeing up a defender or two to focus on keeping the play in the middle fo the field.

Not that Irons can't run there, but not as effective stright up and down, like Wynn has been. If they have to play down the center, they will have to rely more on Cox, and that's good for Florida.

Leak looks like he is pretty accurate tonight. I really don't think they can stop us more than once or twice more. So, will come down to Florida D clamping down.

Not so sure the shootout will continue.

Well, so far, I haven't seen Auburn do a whole lot right on defense. Florida, at least, is getting in Cox' face. If Florida can quit doing stupid things like, say, holding in its own endzone when it would otherwise pick up 7 yards, then they ought to be able to score a bit more.

I'm not saying Auburn can't get its act together and I am not saying Florida can chalk up the W and coast. But coming into this game I was very worried that Florida was just too tired and/or would succumb to the intimidation factor.

This Florida team has been tough all year long and they just seem like ... winners.

Guys, at this point it is safe to say Florida probably won't lose to Georgia. With that said, it is certainly exciting with the prospect of Florida losing, regardless if it only helps a little bit.
