Nobody else is watching bowl games? I know watching teams like Kansas, Arkansas State and Northwestern getting to play bowl games while our Vols don't can make the orange-faithful a little sore. But you know, four months down the road when there's that unbearably long gap in life known as the offseason, everybody here will be wishing they could watch any college ball at all, even if it is Arkansas State vs. Southern Miss.

Fort Worth Bowl wasn't too bad tonight. Rock Chalk Jayhawk, Kansas rolls and Mark Mangino helps himself to another batch of dinner rolls to celebrate.

For some reason I just can't get into the pre Christmas bowl games. I'll drive the wife crazy next week watching football :matrix:

Another one on tonight, the Hawaii Bowl. Nevada vs. UCF. I believe I read somewhere that one UCF player was quoted after losing the C-USA Championship game to Tulsa, "We lose and we get to go to Hawaii and they go to Memphis? How does that work out?"

I always laugh when I see a Bowl game in Hawaii. All the players look happy, the coaches are wearing ugly shirts and the stadium is half empty, but nobody cares.

Same here... I'm just as content with no football as I would be with watching teams like Kansas, Houston, or Arkansas State battle it out for the San Diego Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl presented by the city of Fort Worth.

I'll be all over the bowls starting with the Sun or Peach, whichever comes first.

I like watching the game in Boise. That blue turf is just too cool
I guess I'm too old school, I find it disturbing

I'm involved in several NCAA Bowl pools and through 5 games I've lost only one and in the office pool no losses!
So far the "Middies" have scored the most points-51. Can anyone else top that? Have seen portions of all the bowl games thus far but waiting for the better games around 31 Dec and 1-4 Jan.

Just tuned into the Hawaii Bowl. This formation that Nevada is running is cool. They call it the Pistol; it's a shotgun formation with the QB about 3 yards deep with a tailback set about 3 yards behind him. Nevada is not very good, but you can see where the playcall possibilities out of this formation are endless.

It's not exactly like Reno is a beacon for blue-chippers... But that's what I like about mid-majors, especially WAC and MWC teams. They make up for shortcomings in talent with innovative coaching.

I like it because even though they are running from the shotgun, they still have the ability to run straight ahead power running plays which is the major weakness of most teams that run the Spread.
