Yes. The sum of the seeding always adds up to 17. (i.e. 1 & 16, 2 & 15, 3 & 14, 4 & 13, etc.)

Excellent. Always like easy ways to remember these things. Did you figure that out? If so, cool and impressive! Thanks, regardless

It isn't rocket surgery. Guess what the sum of the seeds in the next round add up to (provided all the top seeds win)...9. That would be a 1-8, 2-7, 3-6, 4-5.

Sorry. Coffee hasn't kicked in. Just remember if all the seeds win as plan (favorites win) then the seeds added together will equal on more than the total team left in th bracket.

Also, if there are 68 teams in the tournament there are 67 total games in a single elimination tournament.

After I typed out an apology to u the other night about being sorry for fighting with you in another thread, and having you completely ignore it, I have nothing further to say to you. Have a great night.

I should start a wiki definition of butt hurt and put this post.

Lol I'm not bashing what he brings to the board. I like what he says. But I didn't realize until now how much he's posted in such a short time.

Your question was very clear and warranted (plus you clarified no bashing intended). I think it's an interesting observation... 5,700 post in 3 months. That's like 63 posts a day. wtf?

goats response was clearly a reflection of his butt hurtness from the other day.

Am I losing it here, or should UConn and UT be listed as 12 seeds?

13-16 is reserved for AQ teams.

Not sure if you mean reserved as a rule or just in practice. General, you are correct, at large teams usually top out in the 12-13 seed range. There are 31 AQ, about half of them get dumped on the bottom 3 to 4 seed lines seed lines because of their weak resumes.

But do you think it isn't a little (a lot) over the top for a new guy to title his thread "The Official" and to open with "I'm recommending"? Do we pay him a subscription? PS. I like the subject matter of the thread (even though it's way inside-baseball until at least Saturday).

SIAP

Jackie (Johnson City, Tennessee)

What do the Tennesse Vols have to do to get into the big dance??? This is my first time asking a question. Hope that you answer! Go Big Orange!
Joe Lunardi (4:17 PM)

Two wins would almost certainly do it, Jackie, even one with the right breaks elsewhere.

Further on down in the chat he said he expects Tennessee to make the tournament

Yes it is a little over the top. But then again so is 63 posts a day... so at the very least he's consistently over the top. His username should be over the top and his avatar should be a picture of Stallone (with his hat turn around backwards of course).

I'm sorry it offended you for me to title this official.

I will almost promise you though that most on this board feel the threads I have started are much more useful and knowledgable than your "vandy is an elite 8 thread".
