Usually Tennessee plays the first game of the year on the second Friday in November. That would be November 9th. So for the purpose of this thread, we will assume that's the start of the season.

So...only 105 days till Tennessee basketball!!!!! I CANNOT WAIT!!!

This is probably the most excited I've ever been about a UT sports season (except the 2005 foot...I can't even say it).

We just come through some very bad times. All the scandal stuff and losing a coach. Things are really coming together for the team with the addition of Coach Martin and it seemed to start when Stokes shocked the world by committing. Now we got several above average players looking at us, and it's got a lot to do with CCM.

The 2010 / 11 season was the most excited I've been in several years. We were coming off an elite 8 run, were bringing in the best scoring forward in the class, and had another top 10 recruit coming back along with him for his junior season. We won the preseason NIT tourney, beat Pitt in Pitt and suddenly we're ranked 7th in the country and had the most impressive resume of any team. Then our coach lied to the NCAA, and the season suddenly became one of the worst in recent memory.

Not as excited about this season as I was about that one, but I'm definitely pumped. Cuonzo's second year and a talented roster...what's not to be excited about? I'll be pleased if they make the tourney. They're talented enough to make a deep run, but this group of players hasn't proven they can be a good team consistently. They'll have shown that if they make the field. Anything can happen once they're in.

Your timeline is off. Pearl lied first, the hot start came after that.

I don't know how anyone could mess up the timeline...We only heard about it 5 times a game last year.

Well, I guess I'm a little out of my league here.

No, and we really don't want to come off that way in the BBall forums. The more the merrier. But if you post something unfactual or incorrect and it's pointed out, just man up, admit it and move on.

Yessss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll sacrifice my first unborn for a final four. You seriously don't know what I'd give up for a national championship and if that opponent was the Kentucky Wildcats, then it really gets serious :D

Seriously? I knew the timeline, and didn't mean to make it sound like I was misconstruing facts. My point was to show how the impact of pearl's lies derailed our season. But I guess I need to be a man, as you say, type my apology and run off like I just got my nose broken. Are you the nick burns of this forum?

Not sure who nick burns is do that reference is lost on me. As for the rest of your post, If you knew the timeline why did you have it backwards in your first post. And if you actual were trying to convey a seperate meaning why not just point that out in your second post instead of getting your panties in a bunch. And lastly, I am not sure how manning up and admitting your wrong and moving on became typing an apology and running off. Maybe I should type slower for you next time so you get it.
