Official Debate Thread

I thought he said he thought it should be a right, but at any rate I suspect he meant more from the we oughtto be able to ensure it for everyone as opposed to putting it in the Constitution.

Don't overclaim or exaggerate what he said, in context.

And if the complaint tomorrow is that Obama said he wants health care to be a right, then the election is over.

I believe you sir are underclaiming what he said.

a moral obligation not to go in the holocaust? misstatement?

stop being retarded. If it's not in our strategic interest, we ain't doing it.

No one has. He said what he said.

He said there is a legal and enforceable right to health care on demand?

Or he said that the country is wealthy and advanced enough that we ought to be past contract disputes when fighting a terminal disease?

Then what is the purpose of the Constitution if it is not to guarantee the rights of American citizens? If he believes it is a right then what better way to say so than adding an amendment that guarantees healthcare for all American citizens?

How the hell is saying he stood up to Reagan going to point out what a fundamental idiot Obama is?

I wonder if McCain is trying too hard to not appear mean or show contempt for Obama? It's like he's trying to go out of his way to avoid slamming the guy.

The guy running for POTUS says he believes it is a right. Parse it in whatever way makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside.

is anyone else bothered by the way obama says pakistan and taliban? seriously it sounds like he's from there. reminds me of the guy on the simpsons

I've about decided to vote for Obama, yes, but I'm not 100 pct and won't be fond of the choice. I've just reached the conclusion that McCain versus the Dem Congress will cause so much strife that nothing will change. The Palin pick is also an issue for me.

I had a lot of respect for McCain, he said he would not go down the smear road. But he has sold out badly in the last 3 weeks or so. I predict a year from now he will give an interview and say he regrets how he gave up his standards like this.
