This was from the last open practice. Hopefully he's 100% by now but never really got a sense of how serious the injury was. He missed some time before this.

Tennessee Football Notes And Observations: Fall Practice No. 13 | Rocky Top Insider
He never missed time. He just worked off to the side for the last couple days. He even played in the scrimmage a day before that practice report. His injury was never that serious

Edit: just checked old practice reports, he was dressed out in full pads every day of camp. Never missed a scrimmage or a day of practice

The entire secondary is made up of Seniors. They should be good, right? ... Right? 😬

edit: Actually, all of the defensive starters are seniors except for one DT, who is a Junior.
Which sort of explains how we have been doing so well recruiting defensive players of late.. Next season we graduate a lot of starters both sides of the ball but we have talent in the wings at every position and a stout class coming in. This is how dynasties are built.

Splitting hairs heh- I guess I consider working on the side still missing some time since they aren't full participants. Either was he was a little banged up. Hopefully nothing that lingers since Simmons could miss a few games.

Cainer said Nichols had a bad fall camp. Im not sure exactly what that means but he said it multiple times. Hubbs too. He’s a R-Fr so he will be fine with another year in S&C, assuming he doesn’t get upset and transfer.
I’d assume it’s pretty tough for our OL I think we have a top 3 DL in the conference some real dudes especially in the interior with Big O Elijah Norman Lott and Eason… I’m sure that interior OL gotta gotta bring that lunch pale to work every practice as it should… Addison still has plenty of time to develop but that’s 4 grown men on that interior DL that’s been in college weight programs for 4 plus years not too mention the young guys behind them with natural talent and garland… Bama and UGA will be the only DL that can compete with our DL in the conference… lsu n tamu pretty good as well but I like our guys with CRG better…

Can someone update the depth chart with returning STARTERS? Who is replacing Darnell Wright? I’m curious how the offensive line is going to hold up

That RB room is on some championship caliber ish. We got 3 starting caliber SEC backs plus a freshman that appears to be a super athlete. I don't think Milton will get to throw as much as HH because I believe the RB's are gonna go crazy this year.
We actually didn't throw all that much last year

Tennessee releases depth chart for season opener against Virginia

I like the numbers and a good mixture of new/old talent and depth (on paper) looks good. The only thing that can beat UT is UT. Not saying the other teams are going to be easy, but UT has the talent and depth to beat anyone. It will come down to turnovers, injuries, and critical mistakes. If the Vols just go into each game and play their style, it could be another 1998, no Stars, just PLAYERS. Go Vols!

Wow, 10 of top 12 OL are seniors and 8 of top 12 DBs are seniors. Looks like we'll need to take a bunch of transfer next year.
