Official Dooley Eat Crow Thread

I don't think Dooley is ever going to lead us to an SEC championship, and I would be pretty surprised if he's still our coach following the 2013 season, whether or not he lasts through this year.

I've found that crow tastes better when eaten wearing a freshly minted Tennessee SEC Champion t-shirt. And with as much hot sauce as you can find.

This. Solid.

What defines "getting the job done" ?

wins every game by 28 points or more...makes opposeing coachs wet themselves upon the sight of anything UT related, and crotch chops every bama fan he meets...thats what i expect

Never even made it to Pardner's or Firehouse. Just give me all Ridgewood all day.

Firehouse is not as good as the other 2, but Pardner's holds its own imo, not saying it's better, but it's close. All 3 are within driving distance of Johnson City tho, that's why i call it the trinity.

Pardner's is on Highway 11 E i think in Piney Flats, you gotta check it out. The sliced pork sandwich is amazing. Someone correct me if I have the location wrong.

Yeah, I know where it is, I pass it on my way to Ridgewood.

Just got a speeding ticket in the mail from the traffic cameras on 11E though. Don't think I like that road much.

I may have to try it someday. It's just that it's so close to Ridgewood that if I'm on my way out there, I always just end up at Ridgewood instead.

Haha, my family moved to King NC (about 15 mins northwest of Winston Salem) from Johnson City about 9 years ago. When my parents split my dad moved back, before i got my license he would meet us in wytheville VA every other weekend so i could go to his house and we would get Pardner's every time. He got a ticket when they first put em up. People over here constantly rave about Lexington BBQ, but it doesn't hold a candle to east TN BBQ.

I bet I drive through your town when I go back home. Well, sometimes. I alternate between going straight over the top through Boone and going up NC 52 and I-74/77 to Wytheville and then on down. I usually do the latter if I need gas. Wytheville prices are awesome.

I like Boone, i just about fall asleep looking at interstate for 3 hrs through Wytheville, but gas is alot better in Wytheville.

for most of the Dooley supporters 8 wins a year

I'm a Dooley supporter, but I don't want 8 wins a year every year. I'm willing to have 8 this year, but I want to see 9+ on a consistent basis in the near future. Heck I want to win 'em all. Think CDD will get it done eventually, if given til at least next season to prove it.

Ridgewood - Pardner's - Firehouse.

The holy trinity of BBQ. :bow2:

IMO
Ridgewood is way overrated
Pardner's is ok
Firehouse is pretty good
Dixie BBQ= the best sauces I've ever had
Red Pig= the best pig I've ever had

If you live in the tri-cities and like BBQ, you owe it to yourself to try the last two. If you are a first-timer at Dixie, let them know, they will give you the tour of their sauces.

Just thought I start this up when Dooley brings Tennessee back to greatness. This is a bump thread and will be it will be bumped if Dooley gets the job done or if he is fired. Go at it we have turned to bloods and crips in our own fanbase.

i would gladly eat some crow and ask for seconds, don't have to worry about it though. he will lose to SC and bammer and prove me right. he can't beat anybody good. miss st shouldn't be considered a hard game for a good team, but we are not a good team so it's a pickem.

Were you also the one that started the bump thread before the UGA or UF game? Can't remember.
