I think you need to watch this play out...Im sorry that Pat Summitt has this condition.... I wasnt that close to the program...and I could see it was time...it was sad at interviews after the games...just wasnt there but Loved her to death...such an Icon in Womans Basketball...I still remember the visit to Indiana High School recruiting...a player...she sat at the game and sign any and all autographs for all the young kids....such a trooper.

It was best for Pat and her image to go now. The disease is so unpredictable she could at any given time taken a turn for the worse.

Exactly. Pat deserves to be remembered as a winner and an icon, not "that great coach that took horrible spells on live television".

I know some people are upset about it, but you wouldn't want your loved ones to have their horrible illness broadcast to millions of people. Let Pat go down with dignity. That's what she deserves.

Even if she is physically and mentally incapable of doing so? I dont think Hart handled it that best way possible, but there was no way she should have been coaching past this year. Thats what the post you are so upset about said.

She wanted to go out on her own terms. Is that so bad? She knew it was time by announcing her illness and allowing Holly to take over her duties.

You all will be old like me, it does not make you worthless. Think about it.
