Are tournament games broadcasted on local tv or am I thinking of non conference tournaments to make it to the cws?

can't believe its been since 2007 that the vols have been in the sec tourney. So glad they are going to be there this year! Can't wait to see the vols in hoover! Wouldn't miss it for the world! GBO

Actually Vandy is one of three teams we beat twice this year, so I hope that is a good sign. I think we are looking at the beginning of some good teams in future years, however I expect this to continue to be a very competitive conference.

I've watched Walker Beuhler (the pitcher we will see Tuesday) in person the last 2 weeks, and he is not the same kid he was early on. If he pitches like he has the past 2 weeks, we have a real good chance to light him up early. Here's hoping he does and we do.

Have you seen that he is starting? I'd gone through the last few games to look at pitch counts and so forth, it seemed like a good bet that he would be, but I hadn't seen it any where.

No. Nothing official. But he's starting. I'd bet a lot of money on it. All year long, I'd say hes been their most reliable arm other than Fulmer. But he was up and couldn't locate his breaker against Louisville. He looked similar last week, but was facing SEMO, so the line score looks a lot better. I feel okay about the matchup, if we can somehow piece together the arms to keep their bats down.

On paper I agree with you...Beede threw 113 on Thurs.

Fulmer threw 110 Friday

Ferguson threw 90 today

Beuhler makes sense, he only went like 5 IP vs. SEMO

Historically, Corbin never throws his ace on short rest in the SEC Tournament. I cannot remember a time when he ever has. Having said that, this may be a little different. They may need to prove something to get a hosting bid. They also have never started with a win or go home game. Those things do kind of throw out the precedence, but I still think, regardless, that Beuhler is the best option they have, and will be who we see.

Also, Beede threw 122 on Thursday.

Thanks for the correction on Beede's count...I've noticed the last few games that we've been getting a lot of Lefty's...I think you are probably right on Beuhler, but Corbin did start Jared Miller against us in game 2 of the season series...I don't think he'll start, but I think we'll see him.

Regardless of who pitches, I love we are playing Vandy. Boys are playing with backs to wall and Vandy is in front. Should be fun.

Idk but alot of people have pushed for it to excite young recruits. Myself I like the traditional historical helmet with the orange power T. The best helmet in the world!

Something to note about who we may pitch. In Game 3 of the regular season series this year Kyle Serrano pitched 5.1 innings of 2 hit 0 Run ball. I bet he gets the ball. Him or Martin.

We do have the slight advantage of being the eastern time zone team playing early.

It worked for us in the past in those early "JP" football games.

And if we win we play another central time zone team early the next day. Plus most of our Sunday games have been at 1pm.

I do know one thing, we wear the "Volstros" unis every day we cann

The helmet is a timeless classic like the 49ers original uniforms that they returned to. In the young days they switched to some shade of dark red maybe garnet not sure what shade it was but dark.

Maybe wear them 2 or 3 games out of the year. But sure as heck not when they play the damn gators.
