Agreed! This should show us where we are and how much we need to improve on the season. I can tell you that we are going to have to shoot a lot better and not turn the ball over near as much as we did last night or we may get blown out ourselves.

This is a game Tennessee needs for tourney selection time considering our non con schedule is not as strong as it has been in the past.

Hello Tennessee fans. As a Purdue fan, I frequent the Gold and Black forums to follow Boilermaker athletics. Over 1000 Vols posters (or perhaps 3 with many different registrations) have inundated our basketball forum with more obscene venom than I have ever seen from our biggest rivals. I've been around long enough to know that these offensive pictures and language are not the norm from any fan base, but do you have any ideas on why all the nastiness? I can't remember any recent purdue/tennessee athletic contests that might have brought on this amount of animosity.
At any rate, the few posters here seem rational. I wish you good luck in the game tonite and in the season to come.:peace2:

Every fan base has their share of a-holes. Welcome to the Nation.

Life in the SEC. Try talking to a Florida, LSU, Georgia, Alabama fan. I go to other sites from time to time and haven't noticed a lot of Vol fans being obscene. It's usually only one kid using his parents computer.

It would be great to win this game. Hopefully the outside shot will be going in. Tennessee still plays Kansas, Memphis, UK 2x, so I wouldn't say they have to win this game for a good seed.

The guys better play better than they did last night, if they don't they will lose big. Hopson did nothing on either side of the ball, Chism took over late in that game. Going to be a good test and a good measurement of where we are.

I can't remember the last time we played Purdue in anything! As for the fool posting crap on your sites, I apologize for that, the 12 year old's must be home for the holidays :)

With the way we played last night, I'm not sure why anyone would be on your website talking BS.

Probably just a kid using their parent's computer. It doesn't represent the majority of UT fans as Purdue and UT hardly ever play each other in anything except maybe the Lady Vols.

I am going to take a wild guess here and say that one of those 12 year olds trash talking is the educated farmer mpgonline!

If Tennessee can shut down Hummel they can win this game.

Like I said earlier. Any fan that is talking crap after the game we played last night, really has no clue what they are talking about. Hopefully we will shoot a lot better tonight, but we played horrible last night.
