Official Game Thread Lady Vols vs. LSU

Yeah, it would have been nice for her to get that SEC # 1 spot. She only played 21 minutes tonight (per Mickey). She sounded nice, relaxed and happy during the interview. Mickey asked her about seeding and she said they were only concerned with the last two games right now.

We ended with 10-10-100% from the stripe. Don't know if that's a first this year or not. Also, I'm showing only 7 turn overs for the game. 2 in the 1st half and 5 in the second.

On edit, Mickey just said it was the first time this year we were 100% from the stripe. We turned it over 23 times in the last game against LSU.

Yes they are. For us. Might show a little of what Pat had them working on after the last game. I'd say she rode ball control and ft shooting pretty hard. Those are two things that can quickly win or lose a ball game. ESPN is showing 37 rebounds for us and 26 for LSU. We had 20 assist tonight, too. Lot of good numbers in all the right places. Only bad number was the fouls and from what I could hear, some weren't that fair.

My audio died just before Mickey got to Pat. Dang. I'll catch it in a bit. They always post it on the LV's website.

Only bad thing about this game is Manning didn't score. I hate that. She's still playing well, though. 6 rb, 4 a. Hard to believe she only took three shots.

I wonder if Cain gets The Lady Vol Athlete of the Week for this performance. It was a pretty good team performance though. I had a Manning sighting when I watched the replay. She didn't score tonight but she grabbed 6 rebounds and had 4 assists. I love to watch her play. She is a fire ball.

I kept sitting there wondering when LSU would use their brains and not go straight after her? It made for a very entertaining game tho
