Unfortunately this team is just another iteration of the last few seasons. Pitching isn't SEC quality. Will have to scratch and claw to make it to Hoover.

If I am not mistaken, Serrano is the pitching coach, and pitching has been the problem the last few years. Simcox has them usually hitting pretty well, but pitching can't hold them. After 6 years with little success, time to look elsewhere. I guess there will need to be thread speculating about the next coach soon.

Yep. UT baseball is a mess. Players change but the results remain the same. I'm just worn out waiting for Serrano to produce. By this point, we should be much further along in the process. Instead, we are at the bottom looking up again. While there's still time this season to make some noise, I think I'm ready for change regardless. Dave might be a nice enough fella, but his time at UT needs to end. No matter who they hire, I just can't imagine the results being any worse.

Depending on the results of the Bama/Ark game, tomorrow could be for sole possession of 12th place.

(Plus, I had us 2-1 this weekend. All the Sweep and Swept forecasters are out of it, so it's just the 1-2's and 2-1's still in it.)

We don't pitch well enough to win in the SEC--same problem almost every year. We've got to get better pitching. I saw a preseason interview with Serrano and he was very optimistic about the pitching! Duhh....

:eek:lol:...yep, I was, but still got the same result...goose egg...I couldn't believe the result of the game after I got back...even though, I didn't catch anything I was happy cause I thought my "sweep" was still in play...well, got back, and...:thud:...:)

guess it's back to pitching by committee again, just like last year...crazy suggestion: Simcox to pitching coach, and Todd to third base coach...jus' sayin', and,

I don't think Simcox is anywhere near as qualified to coach pitchers as he is hitters. That's not a shot at him, but I don't think he has ever coached pitchers.
