There were two mornings last year that left me in tears, as my dad had told me about places like that when I was a little boy. He told me there were places in Arkansas where the ducks would land so close in the timber that theyd splash water on me....and I didnt believe him. Well, last year in one of their holes called Model 12...we landed over 3,000 mallards in the hole, and I literally had to cover my RED camera because they were splashing water on it. And I could feel the wind from their wings like a wind tunnel. We never fired a shot as the moment was so grand, and I was left in tears thinking about my dad.
Gruden is a respectful guy I can see him not wanting an announcement until after the season because he knows if they announce him now, it will be the biggest story and will take away from anything related to the field. And he may think it could distract our players from getting to a bowl.
Was in SD a few years ago and had a hen mallard land three feet from my feet in a dry cornfield. She was so close I had to set up in the layout to see her. Just standing there quacking.Had numerous similar scenarios (hundreds not thousands though) on Dagmar WMA. Had to dodge them as they flew in at head level and land in arms length. Lots of great places there and on White River NWR to get away from the public if you know where to go. Really the only thing I miss about Arkansas.
Oh really, do you know him? Did he tell you that? Or does that just fit your fantasy narrative so you can keep believing this is going to happen? Its was fun to think it was a possibility, but its time to turn your attention to something more realistic and stop believing in Santa Claus.
By the way... everyone just tuning in this morning there are 2 things of note:
-trey Wallace changing his tune... something about what was dead may not be (cough,cough...Currie looking like the hero).
-Davenport liked a tweet where someone asked her "where's gruden?"
It could mean the team is more confident under Hoke and watch for it tonight. But who knows?
