These kinds of statements from national media should do nothing but motivate the UTAD and Boosters community to make a huge hire.

As for me, the two primary considerations for UT making the big bold hire are they are stepping up to pay a huge buyout for he who shall not be named(the fact he hasn’t spoken since Sunday is strange IMO), AND with a $340 million Neyland upgrade/reno project now approved, they have to put a rock star on the sidelines. And, that ain’t Mullen.

Why is that notion proposteriious. 1998 David Cuttcliffe was hired by Ole Miss on 12/2 and coached them in the Independence Bowl on 12/28.

Would give new coach valuable practice and evaluation time with his new team.

I would EXPECT the next coach to be involved in Bowl practices and possibly coach the game. Get a start now
