Why would Currie or Gruden deny something that doesn’t exist? What makes you think anyone besides a handful of VFLs and a few media members outside this board even give it a second thought?

Because even if they never had a meeting the perception is that they have.

National media outlets have reported that Gruden has an offer. Gruden has asked hosts on shows not to mention Tennessee or the job opening.

If there is nothing to the rumors then it would be very easy for Grudens agent to release a statement denying it and taking all pressure off Gruden.

But he hasn't.

This worries me, Doug Matthews was just on the radio in Nashville and made the statement that the recruits have been told we will hire someone around December 10th. Not the news I was hoping for, because if its Gruden (who I want) why would we wait till then? Anyways hope we really get this done and Doug doesnt know. Heading out to Knoxville now. GO VOLS!

Possibly because Gruden is doing some type of work around with his sponsors or his current employer. I doubt it will be anything on our side.
