This is how it will be until an announcement is made. Nobody had any clue about Dooley until his announcement, and it turned out most of what the media had reported during the search never happened.

We'll hear a world disinformation before this is over.

The irony in this post is pretty thick.

Here's a question to any of you people (Grudenites). Let's say Gruden is made coach of the Vols... if he does no better than Dooley in his first 2 years....will you call for his head too?

I say only 2 years because the program is now off the bottom where Phil and Lane left it, and now just needs to be coached up...so what say Grudenities.

He must go 14-0 his first year or he's fired!

I make a Jello shot using Orange Vodka, Oranje Juice concentrate in place of water, and orange Jello. I call it the Big Orange Screw

I will officially rename it the Gruden next year and invite everyone down to my boat to do one the first home game!

I'm not even touching that one.:whistling:

No chance that happens. Gruden's staff will be leaps and bounds better than Dooley's.

Plus, I think there's a good chance Bray stays to have a year under Gruden before going to the NFL. And wow--can you imagine what Gruden would do for Bray?

1. It will be hard to match how bad Dooley's record is since he became coach.

2. Dooley hasn't done enough here or at Louisiana Tech to warrant the patience that people such as yourself give him. Gruden at least has some gravitas.

3. The question you ask is a question you could ask of any coach: Lombardi, Gruden, Majors, Dooley, Mullen, Fulmer, etc. Dooley's record would not make anyone happy over the next two years, no matter who is the coach, unless they are very sheepish.

4. It also depends on the progress and discipline on the field... the earmarks of a well coached team. If a team loses, but you can see they are getting better discipline-wise and that they are well coached, most fans figure that when the talent gets recruited, that the wins will come.

So in short, you can be afraid of failing with the next guy, but I would rather take a chance on someone who has won, than continue on with a loser.

Ok...so you essentially endorse CDD.

The irony in this post is pretty thick.

Your sarcasm is coming through loud and clear.

Point being, the media is just starting to acknowledge what is going on. It will get louder.

None of those here sharing info are getting it from the media.

Your comment was extremely witty however. Everyone thinks so.

I called him a loser. How is that endorsing him?

Maybe you didn't understand me. Let me make it clear. I would rather take a chance with a coach who is a proven winner (Gruden) than continue with a proven loser (Dooley).

Wikipedia says that the Grudens live close to Knoxville. Any truth to that? I know all about his wife being a UT cheerleader at one time but didn't know he lived close to Knoxville.

I got it the first time, you want change...

Try to formulate an answer to this question...Yes or No...

Would you call for Gruden's dismissal if they went 7-5, 7-5 over his first 2 years? Or are you enamored with his college coaching record to feel he should be given 3-4-5 years to fix this mess that CDD has created?

I'll suit up! I am about the right size to play in the backfield (5'10" 210lbs). Never been timed on the 40. I do run a 1330 2 mile time.

Well I'm 6'5" and currently about 295. Havent been timed in the 40 in about 27 years but I can estimate if you will let me know if you want to include the rest breaks during the sprint?:)

I need more than rest breaks, oxygen the entire way, I'm 6-6 about 350.

No, I wouldn't call for his head. He's proven he can win at two different teams that haven't been winners in the last twenty years. He knows what he is doing. I would be patient because I have confidence in his ability.

Dooley hasn't proven he can win. His hiring was a mistake in the first place.

I say let's just have a presidential debate... Gruden vs. Dooley style! The Doolites vs. the Grudenites sound like Dems vs. the Reps.

I want...er....CHANGE!!!
