If I am one, can I take a rain check? The O&W game is in the middle of softball season's tournament stretch. I won't be able to attend.

I dont see the other guys bragging either. Some people do know some of what goes on. I don't, and I have no clue what will or will not happen. You are claiming to know facts while making fun of others who make statements about Gruden, so it is the same thing, is it not? Not trying to start a fight or anything, just seems that is is the exact same thing. If we don't know something, we cant state it as a fact, and surely cant call out others for doing the same

Absolutely. Anytime. It may be harder to find spots in the bars with all of the excitement on campus next year though.

So saying just after the SC and you will see doesn't mean anything?

Listen if a deal was in place the hammer would have dropped this morning. There is no reason if you have made the decision and had your guy in place that you wait.

If Dooley is replaced with Smart, I won't attend another game unless I'm proven wrong with a win over Bama/Fla/UGA/SCar.

I have seen enough to not want a reboot with another Bama assistant. If Smart is hired and proves me wrong, I'll slink back into Neyland, eat crow, and cheer on.

My problem is if the hire Smart it sets us back again. I think Gruden could walk in here and do a great job if we could just get him to come. I think he is waiting on the Cowboys job to come available, he wanted it when Garret was hired.

Sounds good to me. It would just come off a little odd nationally if we win that game. If you-know-who really is in the works, then any negative press for firing CDD after the season's biggest win would disappear.

Not sure my point is getting across and maybe I am not doing good job finding the words. I am not saying anyone is right or wrong, but you said what you were saying was fact while saying others dont know. I dont have a clue either way and won't blast anyone's view/ sources, etc. I am just along for the ride.

As far as why the change would not be made yet, there could be many reasons the hammer hasn't been dropped (final details, PR strategy,etc. Urban was done at OSU way before they announced. I am n ot arguing that DD is or is not done, or that Gruden is/is not replacing him, etc. My whole point was that you stated your post as a fact but criticized others who claimed to know something. That's all. :hi:

I know. It's why I would rather see them do it this week. Get the Gruden deal finalized and fire CDD...

Wishful thinking, I know, but I will not change my opinion of CDD even if they win this weekend.

I hope they fire him tomorrow.
There is very slim chance TN beats SC but if they did it would look bad firing Dooley after his first big win. Add to that the weak part of schedule coming up, which we should win all the Nov games.

I say fire him now, get it over with.

If Dooley gets fired in the middle of the season, would there be an interim coach? Or do you think that they wait to fire him til they get a replacement? Sorry in advance if already asked before

I'll be in the stands next weekend and at Hudson's afterwards.

I'm just getting tired of buying multiple road game tickets and then seeing the season go bust. That said, I'm sure there are a lot of people who spend a lot more than I do.

If CJG or another star is hired, I'll make the trip to Eugene, even though I expect to lose the game regardless of who's leading us next season. But, if it's CDD or another up-and-comer, I can't justify the expense.
