Yes UT can be hard because we don't have as rich of a recruit base, but if you are a great coach and big name coach *Gruden*, Saban, Kelly, etc. You can seal the deal just by saying we want you to play early, win a confrence title, contend for a national title.

Its hard for Dooley because it seems like no one is behind him, and he will probably be fired soon. But if yall remember, Fulmer could recruit great players.

Look at Chip Kelly, Oregon isn't exactly a rich surplus of 5 and 4 star athletes, but when you are winning the PAC-12 and contending for the BCS every year, you will get solid players.

Copy and paste.

Can't I just say Dooley was previously notified he won't be back, and it looks like a big time former-NFL coach and current ESPN announcer is likely to be named HC @ UT in November?

No I won't tell you how we know.

Would that suffice?

Are you saying Gruden has serious interest? It sure doesn't sound like it, but I'd like to believe it.

If we don't land Gruden, I want to give Dooley 1 more year. I do not want to deal with another ugly coaching search.

At this point, though, I'm not gonna lie and say I would be upset if he were fired. It would just be my preference that he stay if we don't have an elite coach lined up.

Gruden definitely has serious interest. With that said, Dooley is definitely gone regardless. This is something people need to wrap their heads around. Even another GREAT source was in my business this morning and confirmed the fact Dooley was told after the Miss State game he will not be retained. No less than 6 different people, all very close to what is going on, have confirmed the same thing.

Has more to do with them having the nicest facilities in the nation and handing out $$$ on recruiting trips, IMO.

Not to be a johnny come lately to a thread that is 500 pages deep, why all the smoke about this in the last week or so and please God tell me this is happening?.

Actually it's 1200 pages and 18000 posts deep, lol! The first thread reached its limit. Anyway just click on Boro, Jay, DTO, Carter, etc. and read their posts from the last few days or last week.
