Noone said oral promises are holding up a supposed gruden deal. There are many factors involved here, and that is one of them. This is a business. Big business. And its not easy just to fire and hire without concern for all things involved.

If UT has contacted every candidate on a list through back channels, then that probably included Strong. So, chances are someone has gauged his interest. That doesn't suddenly mean he's the top choice at the moment. Just means he's a possibility. How strong? LOL, I have no idea.

I can't say outright, but he has been chatting with someone. Not happy that this is a basketball city, wants a football city and a big conference. He is ours to be had. Gruden isn't going to happen. So he is a strong candidate.

You might want to inform a ton of media guys that they are wrong too.

Of course strong wants to come here. Huge upgrade in every way including salary.
