The timing of this alleged deal really doesn’t make any sense given TN could still win a USC Saturday, and end up 9-4. Obviously, I don't think 9-4 is likely (and neither does Hart), but you'd think it's premature to have moved into sealing a deal at this point with Gruden?

A former player in my family was also told this by some of his former teamates who still have connections in Knoxville. It shouldn't be a surprise to anyone at all. It's been mentioned over and over by some of the respectable posters here.
