Shep why don't you give us your top coach's list?
TIFWIW, heard today, if we don't land Gruden, Dooley gets another year. Not a top booster, but someone that does give a bit of money.
Hey. Don't get me wrong. I'm all for Gruden if we can get him. I'm just not feeling it like all of you. He would be a shot in the arm for Vol football for the first two seasons. I would think recruiting would be good also for two years. He has been out of coaching for several years now and seems I remember after the Super Bowl he won he had several bad years.
Not that I buy any of this, but this is my ideal situation. I hope this is the case.
If Dooley were to win out, I would want to keep him, obviously. Even if we were to lose to Bama, but beat USC and win out.
But, if Gruden were hired tomorrow, and that meant we wound up going 6-6... or worse, I wouldn't complain. It's gotten to that point...[/QUOTE
Lots of posters saying we'll win a NC in year two. That's BS. It will take some time to teach these kids what winning feels like. Right now, they don't know how to win. I trust what Gruden will do, but I don't put unrealistic demands on him. He's a coach, and his passion for the game game through the TV last night.
Don't understand the two year commet. Why? He has been around football ever since he left TB. If you quit driving for a while do you think you'd forget how?Just think when he starts recruiting, it won't stop at 2 years.
If he looses like Dooley it will last two years. Hey, he might kick butt and be on top until he leaves. I don't know? I hope he comes here and kicks butt!!!!! I'm just tired of all the craziness! Let's get back to what UT is suppose to be. Winners!

Who the heck is saying NC in year two?
I do wanna see wins but most importantly I want to see Tennessee field teams that know how to tackle again and not make same mistakes over and over that we have seen every year since Dooley has been here. Disclipined football. Agressive in the trenches and players not afraid to get hit. Gruden is going to field a team that is mentally and physically tough. I cant wait!.
