I have heard as soon as reaching a point where 8 reg season wins is unattainable he will be let go from almost everyone I know. No doubt the 8 win thing is real, and after today, that is not attainable. Thus, I fully expect him to be let go tomorrow or Monday with an announcement. If not, then I am going back to listening more and sharing less.

I have a Question maybe a Stupid one to those of you who know but ok let say Dooley is Fired Monday and Asst Coaches named as intern Coach the rest of the year and Say Coach Gruden is named as Coach for 2013. Can he start Recruiting as of Next week because he is not a Official Coach of UT and get a jump on others, Or is the Recruiting process the Same date period no matter what in the NCAA

OK guys and gals. Just got an update from my dad. Here's the deal. IF we see DD resign/fired by Monday, that's our signal that the deal has been made with Gruden. If DD is still here after Monday, we still haven't made the deal. Dooley WILL NOT step down/be fired this week unless the agreement has been made between JG and UT. Dooley will remain the coach until we have our guy. There will be no interim while a search is going on. If we have an interim named, then it's 100% done with JG. We will be making a "strong push" this weekend. The powers that be want this deal done by this weekend.

The strong push could be anything. I don't know what was meant by that. (More $, blowing up JG's agent's phone, etc.)

If the deal is not in place this week, it doesn't mean there will not be one. It does mean that it is much less likely though because we are going all in between now and then. We are throwing the bank at him.

If there is no "big fish" available in time, we are stuck with DD until one is available, even next year if it comes down to it.

Let's hope this "big push" works...

I stand behind this information 100%. My dad is hearing it DIRECTLY from those with their hands in the middle of it all...

All I know is that any 8 win contingency is no longer an obstacle. I would think that simplifies things somewhat. Will be an interesting couple of days.

He was our center and one of my favorite players I ever had a chance to coach. I knew Reggie when he came to Green Bay in 1994. We were together for one year. It started for me at Tennessee as a graduate coach, and that's where a lot of blood in this Raider organization comes from. Raleigh McKenzie, Reggie McKenzie, Larry Marmie, Joey Clinkscales. The Volunteer Nation is very proud of these Oakland Raiders.

I could buy this, but I still don't think Gruden will talk to us while Dooley is coach.

A picture and narrative provided by a guy who is personally connected to the most successful professional athlete to come out of Tennessee not name Peyton, personally makes me want to :dance2:.

No matter what has or will be done the team gave their all today and if you are Hart this shows Dooley has not lost the team. If a deal is finished then we will see a change this weekend, if there is not a deal we will not see a change this weekend.
