Because he's done nothing to warrant it?

Pressure to fire and hire? Sure.

Losing your job type of pressure? No way in hell.

You don't understand how boosters work. It's their way or the highway.

Screwing up this whole Gruden thing could be reason enough to fire him, in and of itself.

Then there was the whole Pat Summit thing some people aren't happy about.

The coaches wives crying is silly.

Hart wold not fire Dooley on the road in the locker room. Sheesh.

Thats not what was suggested. This was from the context that the coaches were told 8 wins or gone. Losing the game means no 8 wins. see where this is going? Not saying it's true....

This is probably the easiest schedule we have had in the last years. We have done nothing with it.

Let's just look at our SEC schedules for comparison:

2011........................................2012
#16 UF.....................................#18 UF
#1 LSU.....................................#19 MSU
#2 Bama...................................#5 UGA
#14 SC.....................................#1 Bama
#8 Arky.....................................#13 SCAR
8.2 avg......................................11.2 avg

It isn't that much of a difference, insofar as the number and strength of the ranked opponents. In fact the biggest difference in SOS might be that UF last year ended up being way overrated and this year UF ended up being way underrated.

If you compare the rest of the schedule, we have Vandy and KY both years, but this year we added Mizzou in lieu of MTSU. NCSU and Cincinnati are a wash.

My take, looking at the same schedule is that this year is actually MORE difficult than last year, on the whole. The problem is that many of us bought in to a pre-season idea that this season would be easier and that was largely based on MSU being a non-entity, UF being in a downward trend, and UGA being bad (even though no one who is paid to evaluate this sort of thing agreed). Just my two cents...

only made one all day but it sure counted

absolutely. Hopefully they'll get some better chances next season.

Unfortunately, Lathers has lived this entire mess from Fulmer to Dooley and overcome so much in the process. Would have been nice to go on the road and get a win today.
He's one heck of a young man and if anyone can find a way to find a silver lining...hate it for him and the few others, they deserved better. As you say, hopefully, help is on the way for those they leave behind. GBO!

Let's just put it this way...

If Dooley is fired and we don't snag Gruden - Hart will still be here.

...there's also conflicting reports that the boosters are even in the 'fire Dooley' camp yet.

Just 2 weeks ago you said the boosters were firmly in Dooley's corner.

Which is it?

Not many people will believe me, but that's fine. Dooley will be told tomorrow that he is fired and a press conference will be held on Monday. Where, an interhim head coach will be named. Gruden won't be announced until after the season. but the cat will be let out of the bag before then.

I thought you thought we were all full of crap? What happened?

Please show me these fabricated posts you keep referring to!

8 wins was always the mark.

Todd please stop trying to reason with him...:jpshakehead:

Sigh....they could know that the firing of their husbands is coming as collateral damage and Dooley riding back with Hart is not far fetched

Yeah....and when strippers sit by me all night...it's because they REALLY like me, not money. :)

Not every rumor is true. I think the hysteria is running a bit wild.

My problem is I bought into that Sal and the 3-4 would give us a better defense and holy balls was I wrong!! :banghead2:

Bottom line:

Anyone who thinks Hart will get canned if we somehow don't get Gruden is living in a fantasy land.

Its easier in the fact that UF and Ala were home games. And next year is going to be much worse.
