Official Jon Gruden Thread III

If Gruden is announced Monday, I'll believe that a deal was already agreed upon. The reason I don't put much stock in OCI's statements, is because he always builds an out into his statments. There's always a way for him to go back on what he's said.

Now he's said an agreement has been reached, but he doesn't expect it to be announced for a while? Why?

Because I do not know when Dooley will be fired. Gruden will be announced within two days from Dooley being fired.

What are you hearing tonight?

It's quiet. I think the original timeline was reinforced today.

Dooley's dismissal announced in the next 48 hours. Gruden announced sometime in the next 2 weeks.

This is what was communicated to me at the beginning, and what I've said all along.

His stock has taken a significant hit since the SEC games started. More so than McShay and Kiper are reporting.

He is still a first rounder, and will be gone. Not a lot of competition from elite Wr's around the country.

I am trying to make 2 points on this hubbs the talking piece angle.

1) the AD isn't going to ask him to say no decision will be made until the year is over and then make a change by Monday

Nor

2) would hubbs state no change is made til end of the year if he thought the change was coming by Monday.

Either way the hubbs statement here tells me this is all a sham. I hope I am wrong but other candidates are entering my thoughts.

Did you really expect Hubbs to say anything other than what he said?

Hey Boro, good to see you on here..Missed you today.:salute:

If Hubbs speculated about a new coach very much while our current coach is still on staff, he would probably lose his job, at least with the University.

And your response is a perfect example of exactly what I don't really give a white rat's a$$ about.
