Well he makes a statement as though factual I believe is the problem. If Rucker said I can't confirm a coaching search is in play or with respect to the current coach I am not speculating till a formal announcememnt is one thing. But Rucker says No factually there is no coaching search currently. This may be a surprise to him but just because he didn't know about a story from the start, doesn't mean its not happening.

The thing that bugs me is he acts like the fans are complete morons, I cant stand that, if you're fanbase is so taxing to interact with then stop responding and people will get it, there's a lot of media guys on Twitter that don't act like they're gods gift to sports info

I honestly think he doesn't know. Like I said before, I don't think Rucker has ever broken a news story about UT. He's just a columnist/talking head for an overpriced website who gets to interview coaches and players at designated media avails.

He's not an investigate journalist. I trust some of the posters on here more than I trust Wes Rucker.

Not to jump on the guy, but he was acting same way about Pearl in days before his firing. In fact, I remember the day Pearl was fired, he was acting like jury was still out and that he didn't report "rumors". A short time after news broke about Pearl, he tweeted "now that it is out there, Pearl is fired", as if he had known all along but kept it a secret due to journalistic integrity. Not meaning to jump all over the guy but just to caution people to not think Gruden isnt coming just because Rucker says so

I do think the timing of this is very strange. I could understand Hart putting feelers out and getting his ducks in a row. But it seems strange to me that something would already been agreed upon and a done deal.

This is completely true with the Pearl thing. He then idiotically defended Pearl till the bitter end and made dumb comments about how UT basketball wasn't going to be the same.
