As I mentioned last night, my brother-in-law,who works at UT, was asked who he thought was gonna be hired and he said Gruden..But wasn't real thrilled about it and neither were any of my family members that were present,except my husband..I had my mom on the Gruden bandwagon but she's off of it now b/c she heard about his college coaching experience..Now I have to convince her that HE'S THE MAN!

Hitting the road to Tennessee and have Thanksgiving at my mom and dad's. Everyone have a Happy Thanksgiving and God Bless. Keep the Gruden talk going, it's like waiting on Christmas. Later Vol fans.

Based on my family's history, the name fits. Untaxed liquor has been a way of life for more then 4 generations. My Poppa and my uncles would not even take a sip of "store bought" liquor.

Heck, my Poppa had me on the phone to give our condolences to the family, as soon as we heard Mr. Sutton (Popcorn) had died. Roots run deep in these mountains.

Good Morning, Copperhead. My family has been out of the business for a couple of generations now, but we originated out of Elijay, GA in the early 1900s and were in the business then.

Maybe something made from sweet horse feed and aged in barrels for 10 to 12yrs. About 120 proof should be good.

Now as for a breakfast shine, I prefer "BACON" Shine. Easy to make and combines two of the best things ever made.

Typically, Dooley would sign a separation agreement that contains language saying that he won't do certain things in order to receive his buyout. Like not say anything disparaging or file suite against the University.

In other words, Dooley will not present any problems.

Don't worry. After the season starts Gruden's coaching will take care of any doubters. Tennessee is back !

That's good to hear. I know quite a few Navy guys that feel the same.

I imagine the travel is pretty cool, but I get antsy being at sea too long.

I can do 2-3 days, but after that I start getting a little off kilter.

Again, I am a glutton for punishment. After another LONG discussion with the wife coasty is 100% correct from a FEDERAL perspective. Up until two years ago we were under the Guier (unsure of spelling) laws which meant you HAD to post a job. That changed two years ago. That said, many institutions still have policies to post jobs, but UT would not HAVE to post the job per federal statutes.

Just an FYI - the chancellor job at UT was not posted from my understanding, so why would they have to post a job for the UT head coach? People like Gruden and others are above "applying" for this type of a position. It doesn't even make sense that it would have to be posted.

She didn't.... I heard the interview...

She basically she told someone close to UT that she had a bet with Clay...

Clay would shave his head if Gruden didn't come to UT

She would sing Rocky top if he did...

The person close to UT told her that she may want to warm up her vocal cords as it was a possibilty

She went on to say she still thought it was ridiculous and she didn't think he was coming...
