People are still getting their jollies off of raining on the Gruden parade and insisting Doolz is coming back next season?

They either actually like Dooley (which is mindboggling) or they just want to see all sense of hope removed from this program and revel in the misery of others. Either way it's sad.

I heard he's not coming until his new 5 year contract with Monday Night Football runs out.
Can Dooley last that long?

If that were the case we would not wait on him. His contract either has a buyout or a clause that allows him to quit broadcasting to coach. Either way I don't see his contract being a problem. If we have to wait for anything, it's waiting for the end of the MNF season even though I don't see us waiting til then to announce.

I actually like Dooley, very entertaining...off the field. I don't care if he wins out by 30+ from here out. If ya can get Gruden, you get Gruden. Cowher and Gruden...Hell I'd fire Saban for either one of those guys.

Wonder what a buyout for ESPN would be. they hate us you know.
Might have to find a few more boosters.

Has anyone really stopped for a second and considered that we might actually lose to Troy?
The fact that I even have to ponder such things speaks volumes about Dooley.

Nothing shocks me about Tennessee Football any more.

If this happened, I don't necessarily believe I would be upset...kind of like those times when your parents tell you they aren't upset at what you did, just disappointed.

His buyout would be nothing even remotely close to Dooley's 5 mil unless ESPN set a precedent because I can't think of any contract off the top of my head for a broadcaster that had a buyout for them to quit their job. I honestly think the contract is only in place so he doesn't go and commentate for another network. I believe he is allowed to leave MNF scott free if he's leaving to coach or retire.

I have NO inside sources or outside ones either. However I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express once so that should count for something. All I have to add to this glorious thread is this;
GRUDEN 2012. Go Vols. That is all.
