According to Skeeter (most respected poster on this board, in most opinions) you and others must be dream weavers.

He says Gruden wants NOTHING to do with the job @ UT.

:hmm:

His recruiting info is golden, no doubt.....however coaching hires are not in his wheelhouse.

I'm pro Gruden, no question. And I follow this board about 14 hours a day while I work.

I form opinions of the people that post on this board, too. Some are seeking ecred and post some pretty funny stories, and some seem pretty honorable.

Some are quick to say things when they have no idea what they're talking about.

If you have followed the Gruden threads, then you should be familiar with my stance early on. I am not about any e-cred and it is up to the individual to decide who they choose to believe.

There are other respected posters besides skeeter.

He has been wrong before.

He said Gruden has no interest given it current AD situation. Stand to reason if that changed, Gruden's view of the job would change also.

Actually he said no coach including gruden wants anything to do with the ut job in it current structure not he would never come.

Pretty telling quote.

To be honest I have no idea what your opinion is but I do know you had to have a reason to make your Skeeter comment and it does not sound like you are pro Gruden.

Not sure why you're attacking him because he posted something you disagreed with. The Skeeter stuff is in the Cliff Notes. Not everyone has an agenda and not everyone only posts information supporting their position.

This was discussed pretty lengthy in the last few days in this thread. We know he wants complete control of the football program or he won't come. That is why the BOT meeting is extremely important. We knew this already.

I know your stance Gman, but your initial response to me this morning ruffled my feathers. I was simply stating what skeeter said, and you somehow counted my vote against Gruden.

I'm back quiet..

I have kept up with it, and I know its broadcast live. I would watch, if I had time.

I agree how important it is. He also said these meetings rarely produce ANY changes. Time will tell, I suppose..

We just got OV, 'Boro, and Gman back-to-back-to-back bringing sanity and stability to the Gruden thread to start the day off right. Thanks guys. Appreciate the efforts.

Well since the near future of UT football relies basically on this decision (it's not just Gruden, we would have a hard time attracting any high profile coach), I would hope they could put differences aside and make some changes.

The good thing is, if you miss the meeting it'll be discussed for days in this thread and summarized for you in the Cliff Notes thread

Wasn't trying to ruffle your feathers voldawg, I just know a lot of fans come in this thread that are anti gruden and the dream weaver comment was over the top.

I didn't look back through the overnight posts...is someone saying UTC would look at Dooley for AD?

The last story I read last night before I shut down was your "eye popping Gruden" story. So you really shouldn't have an "over the top" opinion of my "dream weaver". Just chill papaw.

In the cliff notes skeeter is claiming that under the current structure we aren't able to provide tutoring to our student athletes.

Did I understand that correctly???

Surely that isn't true.

Please explain if anyone knows

LOL, I don't have any grand kids

Not sure how many papaws drive around listening to music at 145 decibels

I read that too and was confused. I thought we had a building devoted to Student Athlete tutoring? Isn't that how Haynesworth made it through? My wife had a class with him, she said he could hardly read (no joke).

Thornton Center was taken away from the AD.

My guess is he is saying that he ad doesn't have control over what tutors are used. I actually agree that they shouldn't have a huge part in that area. Too risky with academic fraud
