Whoever says Smart is the first call is basing this off of Tennessee's hires under Hammy and Hart being at Alabama. Neither matters in this situation. I cannot take it seriously when someone says Smart will be UT's next coach, let alone the 1st call...

I have to think thats just conjecture at this point. Looking in from the outside I would say its a reasonable assumption. But if you are in the community and see the disgust that would bring along with the desire for a home run hire it would (and does) sound ridiculous.

How long after the "official" announcement of Dooley's firing does it take for someone to stick a microphone in Jon's face and ask him about the open position at the University of Tennessee?
