Thank you majority leader! Most "normal" people are not so obsessed with a team that they spend all their time trying to figure out ways to get excited over a coach who hasn't publicly done anything to indicate he will coach at their school. I really don't give a $#!T if you like me or not. I have plenty of Vol friends who would agree with me that "some" of you guys are way over the top. Maybe if something of substance comes up, then yeah, we can all get excited. Manning announced that he was looking at Tennessee so Tennessee fans had reason to be extremely hopeful. But until this Gruden thing becomes official to the point where he or the school has publicly put it out there, it makes no sense to get all worked up if someone doesn't share your enthusiasm.

I don't want names or anything. Just in general. Could be multiple different types of sources.
Really???
I've lived in 5 states and owned property in all. I've had no problems switching residency for tax purposes based upon my current locale.
If Gruden really owns property here, he doesn't need to take a job in TN to avoid state taxes. Recently there was a USSC case involving a group of Tennesseans who worked for a company in NY. It was determined that they do not have to pay NY taxes. My guess is that Herbstreit similarly avoids state taxes.
All I'm saying is that given his current situation, if his motivation was to make the wife happy by living in TN...he would be here. If his motivation was to reduce his tax burden, he would have already made arrangements for that as well.
I hope he comes, and want to believe. I just think if he is coming its because he wants to be the coach at UT, have a significant amount of programmatic control, and wants to compete in the best conference in the country. I just seriously doubt location and tax liability (in a state where he already has property) are significant drivers.
All that being said, I think he wants to be a Vol.
