I've been in the television and film making industry for 11 years now...mostly in outdoor adventure, and all I can say is WOW to the opportunities that abound for young lads like yourself. If I had the knowledge and connections on have now, and added an education like you have...it would be OVER!!!

So many opportunities, man.

Well I hope you're right haha. My assistant dean is awesome and his son works for Google. He tells me about all the ridiculous crap that his son gets and it's depressing because I'll probably be working in a cubicle haha.

Haha! Don't get sucked into a cubicle!!

I was just on a shoot in Huntsville, AL and our production crew hired a volunteer group of students from South Arkansas State University's Media Dept....they were pumped to be working on a TV production set and NOT in class.

Nice work. Wow. There might be an exponential spike in your numbers today when everyone wakes up to the news that leaked in late last night.

I followed the Fulmer firing, Kiffin hiring, and Dooley hiring extremely closely....almost obsessively on Volquest (and a little on here as well). I was also a Grad student at NCSU during the Tom O'Brien hiring and followed that closely on their Rivals site as well.

During both of the previous UT hires, Gruden's name came up and had a good amount of smoke before being put out...but nothing like this. At NCSU there was a somewhat similar situation with Bill Cowher who is an NCSU alum and has a lot of ties to the school (this was after he left Steelers). That event was very reminiscent of this Gruden deal...but it probably didn't last 10 days before shut down by Cowher's camp.

Even after watching those three hires, I continue to be amazed by these Gruden rumors, especially those coming from respected media members.

Finally, just wanted to add that Gruden would be a dream hire for UT right now. His stint on MNF has really catapulted him into a top echelon of recognizable coaches - which is so important when recruiting nationally. A kid in Cali gets a call from Derek Dooley: The kid probably doesn't know/care who Dooley is until he mentions UT. Then they probably still don't care unless they haven't gotten many offers elsewhere.

But if that same kid gets a call from Jon Gruden, they probably change their undies....twice, before answering the phone. Then change their undies after the call for a third time.

The only thing that really casts major doubt in my mind (aside from the fact that it is JON GRUDEN) is all the talk about assembling a staff. That just seems really premature at this point, even if there is a MOU signed. When I hear guys talking about staff members who will be retained, it makes me question everything.

My guess is that this thing is put to rest shortly after Dooley's firing and UT moves in a less star-powered direction. But boy would I love to be wrong!

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Have I got some new news for y'all. I don't claim to be an insider but this is BOOM worthy. Hang on, let me gather my thoughts. I'm just glad to be able to contribute to the situation.

You better post something else and not leave us hanging with that one :rtfm:

In June 2012, it was confirmed that a fifth sequel to Child's Play will be made titled Curse of Chucky and be released direct-to-video. The movie began production in early September in Winnipeg, Canada. In November 2012 Don Mancini announced that filming for "Curse of Chucky" had been completed and he planned to release it Halloween 2013.

Can you imagine how big this will be...at least in the state of Tennessee!!!!! Right in the middle of football season? OMG

I know...not what you expected, but it's the best I could do.

ETSU. The UT computer science program is a pile of crap so I didn't go. Though I consider myself an Alum whether my diploma says ETSU or UT. Also we don't have a football team so I don't have to root for two teams.

Hopefully that will change in the near future. Some of us old alumni are working behind the scenes to get football back at ETSU.

Yeah they did a vote to bring it back here and it failed. I planned on walking onto the team if it did come back.

Come'om man. I'm in the film industry. What do you expect?

Not sure what I expected honestly. I'm tired and obsessed with this crap. I have no idea if we get Gruden but I have hope and excitement, but I really just hope we don't hire a crappy coach.

I think that there should be a thread for everyone to record whether they say yea on Gruden or nay on Gruden.

Just saying. Need to have a list so as to put any would be band wagoners in their official places.

I don't post a lot but I do visit this site a ton. You guys rock and there is nothing like this thread. There is nothing like going to bed and waking up to 60 new pages to read. The night shift deserves an award.

I do have to say my work has suffered during the day. Boro,OV, Jay, and DTO get me so excited with their info I have a hard time concentrating on work. The F5 button is going to have to be replaced on my work laptop soon.

Anyway, hope all of the Grudenites have a great day!

I think the nay-sayers are just not believing it could be true. I have a feeling just about everyone will be on board the minute it happens (assuming he is hired).

morning all .I made the mistake of clicking the ff lol. There is a guy in there that really believes if dooley wins out he gets another year .
