So, I will take a break from Psychology studying to ask a quick question. I have seen a bunch of people refer to the "insiders" saying Randy Shannon was a done deal then it preceded to "fall through" at the last second a little while back.

I didn't frequent VolNation during that time, so my question is - Was there this much smoke and suggestions of a done deal during that period as there is with Gruden right now? I want to get my hopes up so bad, but it seems like the Vols have done nothing but rip my heart out when I get my hopes up lately. Thanks!

Not quite as much. That's sort of a trick question. Many say shannon to Tennessee was very close but got vetoed so to speak at the 11th hour. Others say it was never close. Ever. Depends on who you choose to believe. I will tell you this though Shannon never had close to 80,000 posts regarding him. There is tons of smoke here. Tons. If Gruden takes a college job it WILL BE HERE. Trust that. Hope our insiders are right. I truly hope.

I love natty ice. People drink what they like or in some cases what they can afford. Why not drink natty ice? Higher alc. Content than natty light, hands down. I am used to blowing insane amounts of cash per week. I now save all of the used to be wasted cash. I can get whatever, but I'm such a cheap skate I get the cheaper stuff.

John Gruden will be our next coach. We will have a top 5 recruiting class in 13,if not#1. Kids have watched Gruden their entire careers. It`s going to be like having J Madden on the sideline,Volfans! EZE...I do, but not much. I make a living off of 4-5 hours o sleep per night...always been that way.
