Doesn't mean he wasn't told not to. That penalty is on Patterson and NOT the coaching staff. I'm disagreeing with blaming the coaches for that. A play call? Fine blame the coaches. For taking TOs into the locker room? Fine blame the coaches. For that? No. It's stupid.

I like celebrating, but taunting the opponent is not necessary. But, allowing the refs to take TDs off the board for a taunting call opens the door for a ref to make a weak interpretation of what qualifies as taunting.

I think it's ridiculous that players get called for spiking the ball after a TD, let em show a little emotion when they get fired up after making a play.

I was pizzed, not so much because I knew they'd call the penalty, but going into that stupid little sideways jog was dumb. He wasn't THAT far ahead of the defender. What if the D had been able to pull him down?
