Did anyone find it odd that Hart essentially said that this coach had to have experience in the SEC...Gruden had a cup of coffee when it comes to the SEC...is that enough or am I just reading too much into that comment?

I think you and others are reading too much into that comment. Hart's exact quote was: "Obviously, we want a coach who knows how to be successful, who has had success and knows the difficulty of climbing the ladder in the SEC and can appreciate and identify what that takes."

Clearly, any coach who has been successful in comparably difficult situations (NFL, high major college conferences) can meet the criteria of knowing such difficulty without having coached in the SEC.

I only disliked Clay because i was a dooley beliver until this year. then i opened up my eyes and realized the truth Dooley was the worst coach in the sec and james franklin is doing incredible things at vandy. hard to hate on clay for being right. also hes a grudenite! ONE OF US! ONE OF US!

Not really. He was saying Tennessee would win the East after we beat Cincinnati last year. After we lost to Georgia he lost it and turned completely on Dooley.

I started a thread but got no response yet. I read at a couple places (cant remember) that says in Grudens ESPN contract it says he can't coach in the NFL until 2016 due to knowledge of inside info between when he does MNF analysis. Any truth? Could be gobbledygook
