Official Jon Gruden Thread VIII

I think some forget the fact that for the most part the "insiders" are over the age of 40 and not some kids trying to start something that isn't true. If something happens and Gruden deal falls thru (which at this time is not the case) I will not be changing my name on here or run away from my stance on this.

Hammer, meet Nail!!

Looks like Jeremy Lin after he was told he sucks!

When you're dealing with a rumors and speculation thread, some bits and pieces may or may not be accurate. Like he said, the end game is all that matters. Discussion is fine but don't sweat the small stuff!

It's not even so much sweating the small stuff, it's the relentless picking apart of every little detail and not accepting the answers given for it.

For some of us it is not entertaining, it is frustrating with all the prying and putting everything under a microscope. Just like some in here think we should have daily updates on Gruden, that is not how it works with the people who are making this happen.

So...did he have scrambled or sunny side up this morning?

WTH Hyams talking about with Stoops? I know all the jokes about Jimmy, but he was right about Da'Rick while we laughed.

So when you trendys ascribe the word "epic" to banal things like the Tron poster (not even the entire movie, just the poster), and children's games like "duck duck goose," you cheapen the word and water it down so it just becomes a sound you make, like a grunt when you approve of something. And it's not just used for approval, it's also used to describe minor disappointments, like having to restart a DVD because it skipped. Now every minor inconvenience is an "EPIC FAIL." And if it's cool, it's not just cool but an "EPIC WIN." And for the record, fail is a verb, and is something you do, like fail at English. The act of failing is "failure," and is a noun. People can be failures, but they can't be "fails." That doesn't make sense. So when you say "epic fail," what you really mean is "epic failure."
Do you not understand the concept of idioms? They are rarely in agreement with commonly accepted grammatical rules, but are used nevertheless. Those phrases are idioms of the Internet culture. I will admit that they have transgressed, but it is forgivable.

Now get your head out of your ass and enjoy this very Grude thread.

If discussing the details isn't entertaining why not just post a few post each day and not hang out in here?

Bruin,

Read the thread, you have been the only one consistently supporting Ainge and the smokescreen is simply false. That is not entertaining to discuss it, it is obnoxious to discuss and frustrating. You either believe it one side or the other but in case you have missed it the "insiders" have said Ainge knows more than he is letting on the air. I simply do not see what there is to discuss or how it could be viewed as entertaining.

I assumed a long time ago he was gathering info for a blog or article of some sort. Something is just off.

Why in god’s name would you continue to rant about the usage of a single word? I do not know what babbling affliction you have, but I am sure the condition's name would be hard to pronounce.

I think I speak for most folks here when I say, "WTF”?

Respectfully Submit,

CH_V

The same reason people jump all over people on here for typos such as mine or anyone else's. That might be why. Oh and because it's Epic?

Hyams said yesterday that he supports Stoops as a candidate over Gruden because of lack of college coaching experience.

Just curious. How would you describe the usage of "trendys" in the paragraph above. Is that a noun or a verb.

Thanks in advance.

Now he saying he will "probably" be the coach. Didn't hear him say it. It is in the Stoops thread so I know to take it with a grain of salt.
