just food for thought: If I was going to let Dooley go this week...I almost would have done it on Mon. or Tues. With announcing on Sunday...the Mon. morning talk shows are all NFL and Tenn isn't even getting mentioned. Seems like you would want the buzz of the job being available going around. (Unless you already had a good idea which direction you were going) I personally would have scheduled a presser on Sunday for Tuesday...and I bet Tennessee would be getting a lot of buzz on Wed. morning.
Discuss?
If the AD has been playing quiet to this point on purpose, there's no reason to deviate from that. They want it quiet until they announce.
Link?
Kind of like the coaching staff info I put out weeks ago?
Unfortunately, the UT job won't become "buzzworthy" until someone on the scale of Jon Gruden takes it. Then it will be something to talk about. The only buzz around the program right now are the buzzards circling overhead.
Again cannot remember the last NFL game I watched more than 5-10 minutes. Cant stand it, so am not up on it like NCAA. Once College Football is over for the year, so are sports as a whole to me.
I wavered at one point when my best contact told me it was over, but has since shown me "the light".
I am never 100% until it happens but we can call it >99 and Harts presser confirmed a LOT of what I have been saying.
Find anyone that said "Smart is Harts guy, if he has his way Smart will be the next HC" and think about the merits of things they have said. I think his presser spoke volumes about who here knows somewhat what is going on and who has the best sources. Just saying.
